Dr. Andrew Yuen (he/him) is a staff psychologist at CCPS. He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rutgers University in New Jersey. He received his doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Indianapolis. He completed his internship at Virginia Commonwealth University’s University Counseling Services, and his post-doctoral residency at Cornell University’s Counseling and Psychological Services.

Dr. Yuen strongly believes that college can be a meaningful time of growth and exploration. To support students in their journeys, he is committed to building a warm, inclusive, and collaborative therapeutic space. His treatment approach is primarily guided by Rogerian person-centered theory and draws from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Dr. Yuen’s clinical interests include anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships, identity development, trauma, and cultural adjustment. He enjoys working closely with graduate students, as well as members of the Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) community. In 2024, he received the Student Advocacy Award from Tufts University’s Asian American Center. Dr. Yuen strives to help each student define what wellness and success looks like for them.

In addition to his role as a staff psychologist, Dr. Yuen is also a father of two energetic boys. He greatly enjoys video games and science fiction. He also enjoys cooking, gardening, and a growing interest in electric cars.
