SynClaire Arthur, MS, MA, is an advanced practicum trainee at CCPS who is completing her doctorate in psychological and brain sciences within the clinical area at Washington University. SynClaire’s research and clinical interests focus on the experiences of youth and adolescents, particularly those who belong to marginalized communities, and educational settings. 

Her past counseling and clinical experiences have included roles within residential behavioral health centers, schools, private practice, and adolescent psychiatry. SynClaire’s approach to therapy is culturally responsive and integrative, with underpinnings of social justice, community psychology, and liberation psychology. However, she has experience with CBT, DBT, and emotion-focused interventions. 

Overall, SynClaire is committed to providing clients with care that best fits their individual needs, while also considering their personal identity(ies) and the social structures and systems that impact them and their wellbeing.
